COME IN, SIT DOWN, TELL US ABOUT... This blog is a meeting place for authors and others in the arts .... each week as others are directed to our door or just stumble on by, they come and leave us information about themselves so they can tell about their new books or drawing or photos or to tell us about their new blogs. ****PLEASE be sure your comments are appearing on the latest most timely blog insuring your inclusion in the sending off to google plus land at the end of the week.*****

This is a meeting place where new and old alike can hook up for their next read or just to rediscover an old love.

G.D. Steel stopped by again, letting us know her book is slated for release in approximately two weeks. I am so happy to share with you that she has been inspired to open her doors too so advertising of friends and colleagues reaches even further into the internet universe. Here is the link: http://indieauthornetwork.weebly.com/index.html
G.D. Steel's blog is also free promoting of your arts and as I am wont to say {as does Facebook} this site is free to comment and share and always will be free.

More timely news for myself and, Carol Wills, CactusRose, CJ Heck, Uncle Wayne, Gwenna D'Young and more... We are publishing a Children's Anthology of Christmas Stories and a big surprise leading reindeer {Sshh..name's Cedric} with a BLUE NOSE! New members in The Chronicles of The K-9 Boys and Girls on Locus Street pack will be introduced in The More The Merrier. More news on the other stories soon to follow.

News we are excited to share is posted to the right of this opening to this weeks meeting of our fellow authors. BookBlog approved our blog as being a viable one to be added into their circle. This is great news because it opens up more avenues where you will be noticed, you will pick up new friends and readers. I ask only that you come and be yourself, talk about you, your books, your WIPS. Feel free to ask your friends to drop by too - our portal is always open.

  1. This week has been a busy week for all of us in the States and perhaps elsewhere getting ready for a Thankgiving gathering. And for others just busy, busy, busy. This seems to be the way in all our lives; too much to do and seemingly not enough time to do it.

In this time of Thankgiving, when we give thanks for our blessings, I want to give thanks for the fourteen months I had to love and be given love in return. Here is a short story -

He came into my life only fourteen months ago looking as if death was his companion. Within a couple of weeks he came out from the room he decided was his sanctuary and started to mingle with the others in the house because fear had left. He started to get his hair color back from the pure white it had become and he was feeling like the new kid on the block instead of an old man.
His name is Mason. He was sixteen years old at the time he had been dumped at an intake booth at a local fair. They asked that he be put down....he was too old ... they didn't want him anymore.
This past month, his newly discovered heart disease necessitated his taking pills. Reluctantly. But he did.
Today, at 12:15 noontime, he and the rest of the {6} pack requested outdoor time. Five returned inside.
We were blessed by his life and we will miss him... 1994-2011

Mason was our clown and the pup who would leap in the air when knowing dinner to be served. I am thankful he was able to have a thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings before going on the following day.
